What payment options are available with Nexmo?

You can add funds to your account using one of the following payment methods:

  • Debit Card or Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard only)*
  • PayPal
  • WeChat Pay (selected countries)
  • Bank Transfer

* Pre-paid credit cards are not supported

Credit Cards

We currently accept Visa and Mastercard for debit or credit card payments. All payments are processed by Braintree, our Payment Service Provider (PSP). You can manage your card details and make a payment from the Billing and payments page.

Credit card payments aren't available in all countries. If you are currently unable and would like to pay using a credit card please contact Nexmo Support.

Note: pre paid cards are not currently supported.


If you select PayPal as your payment method and you will be redirected to the PayPal website to authorise your payment. Once your payment is successfully complete you can view transaction from the Payment history on the Billing and payments page in the Dashboard.

Make sure that you use the same address that your PayPal account is registered to for the billing information when making your first payment.

WeChat Pay

If you have a WeChat Pay account, you can use it to top up your Nexmo account balance from Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, and Taiwan. If your Nexmo account is registered in one of these countries, you should be able to select the WeChat Pay option on the new payment page.

Auto Reload

The auto reload feature will automatically top up your account when your balance gets too low so that you never run out of credit. Auto reload can only be used with PayPal or credit/debit cards.

You can turn on auto reload after a successful payment, either on the payment completed page or on the Billing & payments page. The payment method must be saved and the first payment successful is required to enable auto reload.

Bank Transfers

One of the easiest ways to make payments of any amounts is by Bank Transfer. Log in to the Dashboard and select Bank Transfer on the new payment page. After filling in your details, you can click 'Request transfer' which will email you a pro-forma invoice that includes all the details needed to complete your request. Then copy Nexmo's bank details and set up a transfer from your business bank account. Bank Transfers require a minimum amount of 200 Euros.

Your account is credited and an invoice sent to you once the funds have cleared into the Nexmo account.

Please note Bank transfer may take 3 to 5 days to arrive in our bank accounts once it is remitted.

Other Payment Methods

Additional payment methods like American Express (AMEX) are not currently available via our direct payment provider, but may be possible via PayPal depending our your country. They may be available directly in our dashboard in future as we broaden accepted methods.
