Error: Phone Number is Already Registered


When attempting to create a new account, you receive an error message that reads, "This phone number is already registered."

Register a different phone number on any other accounts that you wish to create or set up.

  1. Sign out of your current account.
  2. Sign in to the account to which the phone number is currently registered.
  3. On the left, click your username to expand the menu.
  4. Click Edit Profile.
  5. To the right of your phone number, click the pencil icon.
  6. Update your phone number and verify it.
  7. Sign out of your current account.
  8. Sign into your other account and add your phone number.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, submit a Support request with your account details and the phone number you would like to use.


The phone number used to register an account can only be used for one account at any given time. This means that if you try to use it again for another account you will get an error message saying "This phone number is already registered."
