Dynamic sender IDs are not supported and will be changed to a random sender ID in order to ensure delivery. Numeric and generic sender IDs are also not supported.
For managed customers, quality will be improved if you pre-register your sender ID, which should be the same as your company name. Please contact your account manager to do this.
Marketing content - NEW REGULATION FOR MARKETING/PROMOTIONAL CONTENT
The Turkish Telecom Regulators have imposed new regulations on all marketing/promotional messages sent to Turkey: "Commercial messages to be sent by service providers (Retail Enterprises) to the recipients cannot be sent without the consent of the recipient, and that the recipients should be allowed to refuse messages sent within the scope of permission."

Retail Enterprises who intend to send any marketing/promotional short messages (SMS) should register with the Message Management System IYS-portal of Turkey Regulator.
Post completion of the registration process and uploading of end-user contact numbers and consent in the IYS-portal, Retail Enterprises must ensure to monitor any end-user requests to opt-out of marketing/promotional SMS traffic and blacklist such end-user contact numbers from sending any future marketing/promotional messages within 3 working days.
Vonage (Nexmo) shall not manage marketing/promotional SMS traffic of Retail Enterprises that are not registered with IYS-portal as defined above.
If the Retail Enterprises do not adhere to this practice they are subject to penalty charges from the Turkish regulatory authorities and Operators directly and may also result in your messages and your registered Sender ID being blocked.

Gambling traffic is forbidden by the operators and so any traffic of this type is unlikely to be delivered.
Unicode is supported.
Please note that if you wish to send messages using Turkish accents (Ğ İ Ş ğ ı ş Ð Ý Þ ð ý þ), you will need to send your messages in Unicode format, as Turkish accents are outside the GSM character set.
There are no other additional content restrictions beyond those in our Acceptable Use Policy
Other features/restrictions of note:
Handset delivery receipts are supported.
Turkcell cannot terminate SMS to their subscribers in any other roaming network so delivery to handsets roaming internationally will fail.
Virtual Numbers: SMS-enabled numbers are available upon request and can take up to 3 weeks to provision. A use case of the SMS service and a local address is required prior to activation of the number.
Turkey is one of the markets where SS7 does not work properly and can be expensive to deliver SMS.
