- How do I set the wait time between Verify events?
- How long is it until the next Verification message is sent to the end user?
- How is the next_event_wait default time calculated?
By default, Nexmo uses an optimal wait time calculated based on the historical average time taken to successfully Verify a request. This might vary depending on the destination and the number of previous failed attempts for a given Verification request.
If you would like to override this default wait time, you can use the &next_event_wait parameter in your Verify request. The value of this parameter specifies the wait time in seconds between attempts to deliver the code. This means Verify will wait for the specified time before reattempting to deliver the code after the first event. Valid range: 60 - 900, both inclusive.
